Hand Made Stone Boxes
These stone boxes are hand made in Vietnam. Each box is a pice of fine art with beautiful designs and exquisite handcraff work. They are hand carved from natural stones. Differently with the mass produced stone boxes (made from the the molds with stone powder), they are made out of real stone blocks, hand carved and truly beautiful!
They are made by family of Mr. Tien Dinh Tran who has five generations of making stone carving. We visited him recently and very impressed with his skills, and his ancient house which was built in the 17th century. He works very hard and have very simple life style in the village.

These boxes are designed to enjoy the fragrance of incense, potpourri or other dry herbs. Incense is burned inside the box and release the fragrance through the carving holes. The boxes are hand carved in the north of Vietnam.
